"Kazakovedenie" (print-ISSN 0000-0000; online-ISSN 0000-0000) is an international peer-reviewed open-access scientific journal.

The journal "Kazakovedenie" accepts articles in the following areas: archeology and history of material culture; history, historiography, source studies and archeography; ethnology, folklorism, ethnolinguistics.

The following headings are proposed:
Permanent (from issue to issue):
Theme of the issue – articles devoted to current issues of modern Cossack studies
Discussions – information about scientific and socially significant events devoted to the Cossacks (conferences, round tables, seminars, etc.), author's articles of a debatable nature, proposed topics for discussion with the author's detailed justification
Cossack regions – studies of the history of individual Cossack regions (social relations, economics, etc.)
Memory – source study articles about interesting sources on the history and culture of the Cossacks, about a notable plot of Cossack history
Traditions – works on the traditional culture and folklore of the Cossacks
Chronograph – articles devoted to a memorable date in Cossack history
Periodic (temporary):
Battles – articles on the military history of the Cossacks
Historiographic trends – works on historiography; historiographic reviews of candidate and doctoral dissertations (with the consent of the authors)
Personality in Cossack history - articles dedicated to individuals who left a mark on the history of the Cossacks
Youth case - articles by beginning authors: students, graduate students and young scientists
Caution, fake! - refutation of existing myths and misconceptions in modern historiography, information about the publication of scientifically unconfirmed facts of Cossack history with an indication of the source
Civic consciousness and patriotism - articles with a patriotic focus
Problems of modern Cossacks - understanding of modern processes of Cossack life: revival, showing off.
Potential of Cossack education - understanding of historical experience and modern problems of development of the Cossack education system
Reviews - notes on published publications on Cossack topics
Villages and farms - publication of local history works on the Cossacks
“Kazakovedenie” is an open access journal under the Creative Commons CC BY-NC license. This means that all content is freely and without charge available to the user or his/her institution on the Internet, allowing anyone to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of articles, scan them for indexing, transfer them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inherent in gaining access to the Internet itself, without prior permission from the publisher or author. This is consistent with the BOAI definition of open access.
The journal does not charge any manuscript processing or printing fees.
PDF files with final pagination are published online and printed twice a year as single-volume issues and supplements. All issues of the journal are archived in eLibrary.

Periodicity: in 2025, it is planned to release 4 issues of the journal. At the initial stage, the journal will be electronic. In the future, as it is registered in the RINTS and VAK systems, it is planned to release 4 issues annually: 2 - thematic, 2 - non-thematic, with a transition to paper and re-registration.
