Publication Ethics

Ethical Principles for Journal Publications
(based on existing Elsevier policy)
Articles published in the peer-reviewed journal "Kazakovedenie" make a significant contribution to the development of fundamental and applied science. Peer-reviewed articles support and implement scientific methods. It is important to outline standards of ethical conduct for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the reviewer, the publisher. The editorial board of the journal undertakes to control all stages of manuscript preparation for publication. We acknowledge our ethical and other responsibilities.
We ensure that advertising, reprints, or other commercial gains do not influence editorial decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF AUTHORS
(based on current Elsevier policy)
Manuscript Standards
Authors of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed and an objective discussion of its significance. Research results should be clearly presented in the manuscript. The manuscript should contain sufficient information and references.
Falsified or knowingly inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable.
Review and professional publications should be accurate and objective.
A list of references should be provided by the authors.
Disclosure of financial support should be provided by the authors.
Access to and Preservation of Data
Authors may be asked to provide raw data associated with a publication for editorial review. Authors should be prepared to make these data publicly available (if possible), and should in any event preserve these data for a reasonable time after publication. Authors should ensure that the primary material is preserved and available for subsequent research.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors should ensure that their work is entirely original. If authors have used previously published work, they should correctly cite it. Plagiarism today takes many forms, from submitting someone else's article as the author's own work to copying or paraphrasing substantial parts of someone else's article (without attribution) in order to appropriate the results of research conducted by others. Plagiarism in all its forms is unethical and unacceptable when publishing in the journal "Kazakovedenie".
Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publications
An author should not publish manuscripts describing exactly the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal is unethical and unacceptable. An author should not submit a previously published article for consideration by another journal.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Acknowledgments of the work of others should always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work. Information obtained privately, such as in conversation, correspondence, or discussion with others, should not be used or reported without permission from the source. Information obtained in the course of performing confidential services, such as reviewing manuscripts or grant applications, should not be used without the written permission of the author of the work performed.
Authorship of a publication
Authors of a publication are individuals who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the published research. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. If there are other individuals who have participated in more than one major aspect of the research project, they should be acknowledged and listed as contributors. The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors are included on the manuscript and that they have seen and approved the final manuscript and agreed to its publication.
Potential Hazards
If the work involves chemicals, procedures, or equipment that have any special hazards associated with their use, the author should clearly indicate these in the manuscript.
Disclosures and Conflicts of Interest
Authors should notify the editor of any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that could influence the outcome of the study.
